Accelerated Data Systems® (ADS) was founded in 1992 in Englewood, Colorado by Travis L. Justus. ADS began as the “Data Processing” department for Accelerated Bureau of Collections (ABC), a premier national credit card collection agency. Travis sold ABC in 1997, after the company had grown to be 650 collectors with 800 total employees and 9 branch offices utilizing AdvantEdge®.
Jeff Walter, consultant and member of the Board of Directors for ADS, was the original architect of AdvantEdge. Jeff was one of the founders of ABC and later rejoined ADS when the two companies separated in 1999.
ADS began marketing AdvantEdge in 1999. Phillip Justus, Executive Vice President for ADS, was brought aboard to spearhead this task, as he proved to be a valuable asset while engaged with ABC.
Completing this team of seasoned debt recovery professionals is Gerald (Jerry) J. Letofsky, Vice President for ADS, who also began his collection industry career with ABC. Jerry was the crusader who renovated and modernized the look, feel, and functionality of AdvantEdge from its original FoxPro roots.
